PM Imran declares during a live Q&A session that inflation is the only thing keeping him awake at night.


Prime Minister Imran Khan answered live on-air questions from the general public on Sunday at a program called "Aap Ka Wazir-e-Azam, Aap Kay Saath," during which he confessed that the single issue keeping him awake at night is inflation.

In response to a query on rising prices, the prime minister said it was the single issue that "kept [him] awake at night." He did, however, emphasize that the present inflation is a "global problem."

"When we first took office, we had to cope with a big current account deficit [...] as a result, import costs skyrocketed."

According to him, the globe was experiencing a supply shortfall as a result of the coronavirus epidemic. "During the pandemic, the US spent $6,000 billion on people's welfare, and we spent $8 billion. Both countries' situations must be compared."

He went on to say that the United Kingdom was experiencing record inflation, as were other European countries.

He urged the media to take a "fair approach" while discussing inflation and to keep citizens informed about global events. "The epidemic is something that happens once every 100 years and has affected every country."

3 People were Killed and 23 Others were Injured in a Bomb Blast in Lahore's Anarkali Bazaar.

LAHORE: At least three people were killed and 23 others were injured in a blast in Lahore's Anarkali Bazaar district on Thursday, according to police and health officials. The explosion happened about 1:45 p.m., according to the deputy commissioner of Lahore. He stated that the area is part of the Safe City project  and that all surveillance system evidence is being evaluated. Dr. Muhammad Abid Khan, DIG Operations Lahore, told the media that the inquiry is still in the early stages and that the nature of the blast is being determined.
